NBC Sports's Broadcast Of Olympic Soccer Cuts To Commercial Right Before A Critical Goal
NBC took its Olympic broadcast chicken-fucking to another level today, when a live feed of the Japan-Brazil women's soccer game on the network's Olympics website cut to commercial right before one of the game's critical moments. Instead of seeing the Japanese team score a goal in the 72nd minute to go up 2-0 against the Brazilians, viewers were treated to commercials for some new Dick Wolf show and a bicycle store in Jacksonville, Fla.
Not that NBC gives a shit about any of that, though. In fact, there's probably a poll result somewhere offering proof that Olympic fans actually prefer being ambushed by commercials over watching the most exciting parts of the events.
