Ndamukong Suh Wins Appeal, Will Play Against Cowboys
Did not see this one coming!
Suh's appeal was heard by Ted Cottrell, who overturned the one-game suspension and reduced his punishment to a $70,000 fine. That means Suh will suit up for Sunday's wild-card game in Dallas.
I can only assume Suh argued that the video didn't prove intent—on either of the two steps directly onto Aaron Rodgers's injured calf. Which, sure. This probably won't please the NFL's discipline chief, Merton Hanks, who wrote this to Suh yesterday:
"You did not respond in the manner of someone who had lost his balance and accidentally contacted another player who was lying on the ground. This illegal contact, specifically the second step and push off with your left foot, clearly could have been avoided."
