Nebraska, strong at home, tops No. 15 UCLA

Rollie Worster scored 11 points and Juwan Gary added 10 as the Cornhuskers (12-2, 2-1 Big Ten) won their 20th consecutive home game to tie a program record. Included in that run are home victories against No. 1 Purdue and No. 6 Wisconsin last season.
Former UCLA forward Berke Buyuktuncel had nine rebounds with four points for Nebraska.
Tyler Bilodeau scored 15 points and Lazar Stefanovic added 10 for the Bruins (11-3, 2-1), who lost a game in their new conference for the first time. UCLA was just 4 of 28 (14.3 percent) from 3-point range one game after earning a victory over Gonzaga.
Nebraska used an 8-0 run to take a commanding 50-38 lead with 8:02 remaining. The charge started with a 3-pointer from Sam Hoiberg and included a three-point play from Morgan.
The Cornhuskers had an extended 11-2 run to take a 53-40 lead with 7:15 remaining. The Bruins did not make a field goal in the stretch.
UCLA closed within 58-54 with 51 seconds remaining after a three-point play from Kobe Johnson before two free throws from Worster put Nebraska up 60-54 with 48.8 seconds left. The Cornhuskers made five free throws in the final 24.3 seconds.
The Bruins opened the game on a 7-0 run, while the Cornhuskers did not score their first basket until a Williams 3-pointer after 4:22 had elapsed. Nebraska then went on a 15-0 run past the midway point of the first half.
In a see-saw first half, UCLA then followed with a 12-0 run, with the game tied 24-24 at halftime as both teams shot under 34 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.
UCLA starter Eric Dailey Jr. missed his first game because of a facial injury. Sebastian Mack received his first start of the season and scored nine points.
