The Nets also pocketed cash considerations from the Los Angeles Clippers, who acquired the draft rights to small forward/shooting guard Vanja Marinkovic.
Agbali, 25, averaged 4.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 15.5 minutes in 42 games (13 starts) this season, one campaign after posting career-high averages in points (10.4), boards (3.8), assists (1.5) and minutes (27.2).
He was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 14th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and later traded to the Utah Jazz prior to the start of the 2022-23 season. The Jazz dealt him to the Raptors in February 2024.
Marinkovic, 29, was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the final pick of the 2019 NBA Draft. His draft rights were traded to the Clippers in February 2022, to the Memphis Grizzlies in July 2023 and to the Nets in February 2024.
Also on Thursday, Brooklyn requested waivers on forward Haywood Highsmith.
