Shiloh Keo played for the Texans from 2011 to 2014, which overlapped with Wade Phillips’s time as the team’s defensive coordinator. Phillips went to the Broncos, and Keo became a free agent this season after the Bengals released him. Earlier this month, the safety figured it’d be worth tweeting at Phillips to check for any openings. Today, it paid off.

The Broncos signed safety Josh Bush on Dec. 1. Keo wondered why it wasn’t him:
