Police: NFLer, Former NBAer Arrested For Fighting Each Other At Club
July can be an easy time for professional athletes to find themselves in bad situations, with little happening in three of the major sports leagues and a summer to let loose.
Despite NFL training camps beginning shortly, St. Louis Rams linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar fell victim to the July doldrums in Miami. Partying with NBA player Donte Greene at Dream Nightclub, the two were arrested and charged with battery and disorderly conduct after an altercation at the club.
Miami Beach police said the arrests were the result of the athletes getting into a fight with each other. No other arrests were made.
Both athletes had reasons to be extra careful in the offseason. Dunbar was suspended for four games in 2013 for violating the NFL's PED policy, while Greene has been out of the NBA since 2012, and is attempting a comeback this summer.
