Nick Young Steals Ball From Teammate, Hits Game-Winning Shot
Last night, Nick Young came full circle.
It’s been nearly two years since Young turned his back on a doomed three-point shot and gave us the definitive highlight of his career, but in the final seconds of last night’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Young regained control of his legacy:
Yes, Nick Young stole a pass intended for one of his teammates and then drained a game-winning three. He followed that up by stealing D’Angelo Russell’s “ice in my veins” celebration and telling reporters that he should have also been credited with a steal on the play.
The Lakers are 8-7 and Nick Young’s unrestrained id just won a game at the buzzer. These are strange times indeed.
