No. 5 Alabama Survives No. 16 LSU After Yeldon Injury And Turnover
No. 16 LSU and No. 5 Alabama played a pretty boring, low-scoring game tonight, often outdoing each other in terms of offensive ineptitude.
But the excitement picked up in the last 90 seconds. Backed up inside their own ten, the Crimson Tide handed the ball off workhorse T.J. Yeldon. In a tough play to watch, Yeldon appears to injure his ankle right before fumbling the ball, eerily similar to the end of last week's Auburn-Ole Miss game. LSU recovered on the 6-yard line, but moved all the way back to the 22 by fourth down. The Tigers still knocked home the field goal, but Alabama drove back down the field to tie the game in regulation. In overtime, Bama staved off the upset and will now certainly move into the top four.
