Nothing's Scarier Than Texas High School Football
It's about that time of day when we remind you just how terrifying Texas high school football is. This is from Southlake Carroll High School near Dallas/Ft. Worth, where certain fans camped out all night just to pay $90 seat licenses (that doesn't even count the tickets) for four high school football games. And it's not just that: Most of them are actually trying to get tickets for years from now.
Many of these fans are trying to get season tickets now because they're afraid they won't be able to get them when their kids finally get to high school. "My son's only going to be in seventh grade," said one. "I have one that's in second grade," said another. The kids of one fan are in pre-school. The door is just about to open, but the sad fact is, if you want season tickets to Soutlake Carroll it's almost like someone has to move away or die. There are only 92 available this season. Most of these people won't get one.
It was totally like this for tickets to our scholastic bowl games in high school.
