Novak Djokovic Holds Off Roger Federer For His Second Wimbledon Title
Novak Djokovic outlasted a rejuvenated Roger Federer to close out the men's Wimbledon championship in a thrilling final, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 5-7, 6-4.
Djokovic had a 2-1 lead after three sets and a match point in the fourth, but the 32-year-old Federer reminded everyone of who he was as he rallied back to win the set and necessitate five for the championship.
Federer pushed Djokovic in the final set, but Djokovic held on to close out the match and win his second Wimbledon title. The victory pushes Djokovic back into the top spot in the ATP rankings.
