Oh Look, The Mets Are Still Whining About Chase Utley
Listen, Chase Utley's Friday Night Slide into Ruben Tejada ( video here) was a little over-the-top; not just because the Mets are as harmful a foe as a bike helmet, but because he went behind the bag at 'em.
So, wee David Wright saying they "have to reevaluate the way we go into second base" the night it happened was expected and understandable. But, c'mon Carlos Beltran, for the "time for me to do the same thing he did - slide hard and try to hit somebody" statement to be anything but laughable a day later, at least make a +.500 effort.
