Oklahoma State dominates Texas A&M in battle of new-look rosters

Christian Coleman had 16 points, Isaiah Coleman had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Oklahoma State beat Texas A&M 87-63 in Stillwater, Okla. in a match of former Big 12 rivals who underwent major offseason rebuilds.

Vyctorius Miller had 15 points and five assists, Jaylen Curry had 12 points and Parsa Fallah had 10 points for the Cowboys (2-0), who are melding 12 new players in coach Steve Lutz's second season.

Curry had four assists and three steals and Fallah had seven rebounds. The Colemans (no relation), Miller and Curry are Division I transfers.

Reserve Marcus Hill had 14 points and reserve Zach Clemence had nine points for the Aggies (2-1), who are still working through combinations after adding 13 new players in coach Bucky McMillan's first season.

Oklahoma State shot 48.5% from the field and committed only nine turnovers, one in the first half.

Forward Isaiah Coleman, who averaged 15.6 points at Seton Hall last season, entered 30 seconds into the game and scored the Cowboys' first two baskets. He did not play in a 95-71 victory over Oral Roberts in the season opener because of a "personal matter,' Lutz said.

The Aggies made just three of their first 16 field goal attempts to fall into an early hole that they could not overcome. The Cowboys made 12 of their first 17 shots in the second half to put it away.

Fallah's first career 3-pointer gave the Cowboys a 64-39 lead with 12:50 remaining, and the Aggies were never closer than 21 the rest of the way.

Texas A&M shot 32.3% from the field and was 9 of 35 from three-point range. Starting guards Pop Isaacs and Rylan Griffen, both transfer adds, were a combined 4 of 18 from the field, 3 of 14 from distance.

The Aggies averaged 101 points in the first two games under McMillan, who brought in the up-tempo style that helped him to four straight 20-win seasons at Samford.

Isaiah Coleman had 11 and six rebounds in the first half, when the Cowboys used a late 21-8 run to open a 17-point lead that dropped to 43-29 at half.

Christian Coleman had a three and a dunk in the three-plus minutes of the second half to grow the lead to 52-32.
