Oklahoma State withstands Cal State Fullerton's rally

Mandatory Credit: William Purnell-Imagn Images Anthony Roy scored 22 points and Christian Coleman and Vyctorius Miller had 20 points each to lead host Oklahoma State to a 94-89 nonconference win over Cal State Fullerton on Sunday in Stillwater.
The Cowboys (11-1) led by 18 early in the second half, but the Titans (5-8) were able to cut the lead to two in the final 30 seconds.
Christian Williams, who scored 18 for the Titans, hit his sixth 3-pointer to cut it to 91-89 with 24 seconds to go.
Miller hit one of two free throws to get the lead to three, then Landon Seaman missed two free throws with five seconds left for the Titans.
He grabbed his own rebound and put it back up for a bucket, but the Titans had called a timeout. Fullerton, however, was out of timeouts.
Roy made both technical fouls to push the lead to five with 3.9 seconds left.
Seaman led the way for the Titans with 19 points and 13 rebounds off the bench.
Jefferson De La Cruz Monegro led Fullerton in scoring with 20 points and also had four assists. Chris Williams scored 18, hitting 6 of 10 shots from beyond the arc.
Coleman scored 12 of his points in the first half and also had five rebounds and four assists.
The Cowboys came out smoking with a 25-8 run to start the game.
The Cowboys' 3-point barrage started early as Roy hit his first of six first-half 3-pointers to start the game.
Miller followed with back-to-back baskets from long range and Coleman dunked for an 11-1 lead.
Jaylen Curry scored on a layup, then Roy hit two 3-pointers and Miller added another to make it 22-5.
Joshua Ward slowed things for the Titans with a 3-pointer, but Roy followed with another trey for a 17-point lead with 14:18 left in the first half.
Fullerton put together a late run, and when Jaden Henderson hit a 19-foot jumper, he cut it to 41-31 with 3:52 left.
However, the Cowboys held the Titans without a field goal over the final 3:02 of the half to lead 50-34 at the break.
Both teams shot 50.8% from the field for the game, with Oklahoma State getting the slight edge (46.7% to 46.2%) from 3-point range.
