"Took a little break to reset and recharge," Jabeur and her husband Karim Kamoun wrote from their joint Instagram account on Monday.
"Turns out, we've been planning the cutest comeback ever. The court will have to wait a little longer because soon ... we'll be welcoming our tiniest teammate. Baby boy joining the team in April."
Jabeur, 31, announced she was taking a break from tennis after retiring in the first round at Wimbledon against Viktoriya Tomova of Bulgaria. At the time, the three-time Grand Slam finalist said tennis wasn't making her happy.
The Tunisian, who ranked No. 2 in the world on June 27, 2022, currently is No. 79. On the season, she is 15-15 and was eliminated in the first round at both the French Open and Wimbledon.
Jabeur lost in the finals at Wimbledon in both 2022 and 2023, as well as at the U.S. Open in 2022. She is the first Arab woman to have reached a Grand Slam final. She has won five singles titles on the WTA Tour, most recently in September 2023 in China.
