Maton, 27, appeared in one game for the Orioles this season as a late-inning defensive replacement at second base on June 20.
Maton played in 93 games for the Detroit Tigers last season and is a career .208 hitter with 15 home runs and 63 RBIs in 180 games for the Philadelphia Phillies (2021-22), Tigers and Orioles.
Banuelos, 27, was added to the Orioles' active roster Sunday but did not play in the road game against the Colorado Rockies. His only appearance in a major league game came for the Orioles on April 16 when he played the final two innings against the Minnesota Twins and flew out to right field in his lone at-bat.
