Orioles DFA veteran reliever Dillon Tate

Mandatory Credit: Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports The Baltimore Orioles designated right-hander Dillon Tate for assignment on Wednesday to clear space on the 40-man roster for outfielder Forrest Wall.
The Orioles claimed Wall off waivers from the Miami Marlins, who DFA'd him earlier this week. The O's assigned him to Triple-A Norfolk.
Tate, 30, was 2-1 with a 4.59 ERA and one save in 29 relief appearances this season. He last pitched with the big league club on July 10. He is 7-14 with a 4.07 ERA in 186 career relief appearances for the O's.
Wall, 28, appeared in three games for the Marlins, who selected him off waivers from the Atlanta Braves on July 25. He's batting .250 with four runs and four stolen bases in 16 games for the clubs.
