Orlando Magic Head Coach Scott Skiles Unexpectedly Resigns
Photo via Sam Greenwood/ [object Object] Orlando Magic head coach Scott Skiles has suddenly resigned, according to the team:
Skiles, who has previously been the head coach in Phoenix, Chicago, and Milwaukee, was hired by Orlando just last summer, replacing the fired Jacque Vaughn (and interim James Borrego). He led the Magic to 10 more wins than they had last season, and there weren’t any hints that his job was in jeopardy or anything of that nature.
In a team-released statement, Skiles said that he realized he is “not the right head coach for this team,” and that there is nothing to it besides that.
