Panthers Rally Around Disgraced Owner Jerry Richardson One Last Time
Photo credit: Streeter Lecka/ [object Object] The Panthers were eliminated from the playoffs yesterday, meaning that owner Jerry Richardson’s active stewardship of the team has all but come to an end. Last month, Richardson put the team up for sale after it was revealed that he’d been accused of multiple instances of sexual harassment and racist behavior. Still, the Panthers keep going out of their way to honor Richardson.
Before the playoffs began, the team released video of head coach Ron Rivera making his team do a cheer for “Mr. Richardson” after a win over the Bucs. After yesterday’s loss, the pro-Richardson machine one again whirred to life:
