Paul George On Bringing Lance Back: [Longest Pause Ever] "I Don't Know"
Lance Stephenson is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer and he's going about it in just about the worst way possible. He has definitely been fun to watch, like a court jester, but he's probably cost himself some serious cash with all the extracurriculars. And, when he finally does get paid, it's hard to tell if the Pacers will even be involved. Following last night's 117-92 thrashing at the hands of the Heat, Paul George was asked whether he wanted to see Lance on the roster next year. George, after taking about three hours to think about it, could only initially muster "I mean, I don't know."
Listening to the rest of his response, it is entirely possible that Paul George processed the question as something closer to "Do you think the team will bring Lance back" instead of "Do you want Lance back," or it could be that George was not interested in talking about anything after he just got rolled by the Heat in the Eastern Conference finals again. But man, that pause was as rough.
