Penn State Knocks Off Ohio State In Bonkers, Buzzer-Beater Finish
Keita Bates-Diop’s desperation, long-range three with five seconds remaining drew Ohio State tied with visiting Penn State before Nittany Lion guard Tony Carr threw up his own long-range shot that went in off the glass as time expired and earned Penn State an 82-79 win over the 13th-ranked Buckeyes.
Ohio State trailed by one with 14 seconds remaining before a foul put Carr to the line, where he sank both free throws. Ohio State then ran a standard offensive set, only to see Bates-Diop launch a bonkers shot that found its target—leading Buckeyes fans to a very short-lived celebration.
