Mandatory Credit: Jim Cowsert-Imagn Images Pat Perez, who worked as an announcer in 2025 after a three-year run on the LIV Golf Tour, has been reinstated by the PGA Tour.
That move comes after the news on Monday that the PGA is welcoming Brooks Koepka back.
Perez, 49, shared the news on his Instagram bio, with the PGA confirming it to Golfweek on Tuesday.
"Perez was reinstated as a member, but is not eligible to participate in PGA Tour-affiliated tournaments at this time," a Tour statement read in part.
The Tour could potentially suspend Perez for a period due to his broadcasting activities, which might be considered promoting an unauthorized event and violate PGA guidelines.
Timing is crucial for Perez, who turns 50 in March and will then become eligible for the Champions Tour. With over $26 million in career earnings, he can also compete in three senior majors (pending suspension): the Senior PGA Championship (April 16-19), the U.S. Senior Open (July 2-5) and the Senior British Open (July 24-27).
Perez has four professional wins, including three on the PGA Tour, the most recent coming at the CIMB Classic in 2017.
