Phil Jackson Needs To Take A Nap, Stop Tweeting
Phil Jackson’s Twitter is the gift that keeps on giving. After previously backing himself into a corner with his byzantine views of three-point shooting, Jackson AGAIN tried to stand up to the two-point bullies on the internet today:
It’s great Jackson also had to take time out of defending his old-world basketball opinions to defend his trades, which have seen numerous former Knicks play integral roles for teams in the conference finals.
Today, let’s not harp on why playing for three-point shots isn’t an error. Instead, let’s focus on the greater societal happenstance occurring every time Jackson sits down on his oversized chair to fire off a tweet from his computer.
This is the beauty of the internet. A hall-of-fame coach who earned the respect of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal en route to 11 championships is now rightfully mocked and repeatedly feels the need to clarify himself because he appears to not understand how basketball works in 2015.
And he also happens to be responsible for running the New York Knicks.
