Phil Mickelson Eagled 10 To (Momentarily) Regain The Lead At U.S. Open
It's felt like the entire field has crumpled at the same time during the final round of the U.S. Open today at Merion. Luke Donald went from hitting out of the water to hitting out of the sand. Rory McIlroy broke a club and while it looked like perpetual sad-sack Jason Dufner was going to make a push for a second there, he fell back as well. Even FIGJAM himself sandwiched a birdie between two double bogeys earlier in the round and looked like he was toast.
Then Phil regained his composure and sank this eagle on 10 from 76 yards out and in the rough. It gave him the lead for just a few minutes until Justin Rose tied him and then sank his fifth birdie of the day on 13.
