Pistons top Bucks behind balanced scoring attack

Mandatory Credit: Rick Osentoski-Imagn Images Cade Cunningham led seven Detroit players in double figures with 23 points and 12 assists as the host Pistons rolled past Milwaukee, 124-112, on Saturday night.
Isaiah Stewart had 19 points and Jalen Duren powered for 16 points and 16 rebounds. Ausar Thompson supplied 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Jalen Green also contributed 13 points, while Caris LeVert tossed in 11 and Jaden Ivey added 10.
The Pistons, who defeated the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, avenged a 113-109 road loss to the Bucks on Wednesday.
Kevin Porter Jr. topped Milwaukee with 32 points, six assists and four steals. Kyle Kuzma contributed 15 points, Myles Turner had 12 points and Gary Trent Jr. added 11. Ryan Rollins chipped in 10 points with six rebounds and six assists.
The Pistons shot 50% from the field and racked up 31 assists on 43 made baskets.
Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo missed his second straight game with a right calf strain. Detroit starting forward Tobias Harris sat out with a left ankle sprain.
The Pistons committed 14 first-half turnovers, leading to 20 Bucks points, but the home team still emerged with a 61-56 halftime lead. Cunningham and Stewart combined for 28 points, while Porter carried Milwaukee with 19 points.
Detroit opened the second half with a 13-3 run to stretch its lead to 15 points. Duren sparked the run with a layup and a dunk, and Cunningham capped it with a 3-pointer and a three-point play.
The Pistons led by double digits most of the quarter and held a 91-81 lead entering the fourth.
Ivey opened the quarter with consecutive 3-pointers to stretch Detroit's lead to 16.
A Duren putback with 7:23 remaining nudged the advantage to 20 at 107-87. The remainder of the quarter turned into extended garbage time.
Detroit leads the season series 2-1. They'll match up one more time on April 8.
