Police Charge NFL Receiver Josh Morgan After He Shoots Himself While Cleaning Gun
Former Bears and ‘Skins wide receiver Josh Morgan shot himself with his gun while cleaning it at his house in Virginia on Jan. 31, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The 30-year-old Morgan was taken to a hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries.” A spokesperson for Morgan told TMZ on Wednesday that the incident was a “simple accident,” and said that the NFL player was fine.
On Feb. 4, police charged Morgan with misdemeanor reckless use of a firearm.
