Portugal Forward Jéssica Silva Is The Queen Of Filthy Nutmegs
credits: Portugal vs. Belgium Meet Jéssica Silva, forward for Spanish club Levante and the Portuguese national team. Last week, she made an appearance for Portugal in a Euro 2021 qualifier against Belgium. This gave her an opportunity to do what she does best, which is to absolutely ruin defenders with beautifully disgusting nutmegs:
Just look at those three feather-soft, lightning-quick touches. One with her right to stop the ball from going out of play, another with the same foot to prod the ball around the back of her standing leg, and that perfectly timed third to slip it right between her marker’s legs. Neymar himself would be proud to pull off such a feat.
And somehow this isn’t even her most impressive nutmeg of the year. About a month ago in an Algarve Cup match against China, she nutmegged two women in a single move:
Hopefully Portugal qualify for next summer’s World Cup. The world must recognize the true nutmeg queen.
