Predators trade for F Grigori Denisenko, rule out D Jeremy Lauzon for season

The Nashville Predators acquired forward Grigori Denisenko from the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday in exchange for future considerations.
In another move Tuesday, the Predators ruled out defenseman Jeremy Lauzon for the rest of the season with a lower-body injury. Lauzon missed 10 games with the injury in November and December, returned to action and aggravated it Dec. 31, sidelining him ever since.
He was placed on injured reserve on Jan. 6. The team changed his recovery timeline to four to six months on Tuesday.
Denisenko, 24, played in one game this season and six last season for the Golden Knights, totaling four penalty minutes. He played 26 games for the Florida Panthers over parts of three seasons (2020-23) and totaled seven assists and eight penalty minutes.
The Panthers selected Denisenko with the 15th overall pick of the 2018 NHL draft.
The Russian native has 10 goals, 14 assists and 36 penalty minutes in 42 games this season for Vegas' AHL affiliate Henderson.
Lauzon, 27, has one assist, 37 penalty minutes, 34 blocks and 127 hits while averaging 17:58 of ice time in 28 games this season.
He has career totals of 14 goals, 31 assists, 353 penalty minutes, 374 blocks and 1,132 hits in 316 regular-season games for the Boston Bruins (2018-21), Seattle Kraken (2021-22) and Predators (2022-present). He set the NHL single-season record with 383 hits last season.
