PSG Player Posts Slur-Laden Video, Gets Himself Suspended
As Ivorian international Serge Aurier found out this week, hosting a smoked-out Periscope session where you call your boss and teammates a bunch of homophobic slurs isn’t exactly a good PR move. The Paris Saint-Germain right back is in some hot water for the following video, wherein he says some rather nasty things about Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his coach Laurent Blanc.
If you don’t speak French, well, neither do I, but thankfully, some members of /r/soccer do, and they’ve translated the particularly interesting parts. At the 5:05 mark, someone asks Aurier if, “Laurent Blanc suce zlatan ou pas??”, which apparently means,“He’s asking if Laurent Blanc sucks Zlatan.” Aurier replies something that translates to, “He’s taking his whole balls bro.”
Aurier also answered a question about PSG’s goalkeepers, and said that “[Salvatore] Sirigu is a merguez sausage.” Then, at 6:39, he responded to a question on Laurent Blanc by calling him a “fiotte,” which translates to either “faggot” or “pussy.”
PSG met with Aurier yesterday, and he will reportedly miss PSG’s Champions League match with Chelsea next week. Still waiting to see if Aurier will use the ole, “My Periscope was hacked!” excuse.
