QB concerns in play for both squads as Lions visit Roughriders

Mandatory Credit: John E. Sokolowski-Imagn Images Questions at quarterback persist for both the unbeaten Saskatchewan Roughriders and the visiting BC Lions ahead of Saturday's meeting in Regina.
Trevor Harris is listed as questionable for the Roughriders (3-0) after he returned Thursday following two missed practice days with head/illness designations.
"It was good to see him back out here doing his thing," Saskatchewan coach Corey Mace said Thursday, per the Regina Leader-Post. "We played it smart; wanted to make sure that we're taking care of it, but to have him come back out here (Thursday) was big time for us.
"It might be game-time decision maybe how we list it."
Harris has completed 58 of 80 passes for 806 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions in three games this season.
Jake Maier would get the nod if Harris can't go. Maier has made 45 starts in his CFL career, including 15 for the Calgary Stampeders last season.
Dohnte Meyers recorded four catches for a career-best 125 yards and two touchdowns in the Roughriders' 39-32 victory over the Toronto Argonauts on June 20.
Like Saskatchewan, the Lions (1-2) also are mired in a quarterback quandary with starter Nathan Rourke (oblique) listed as questionable for Saturday's game.
Veteran Jeremiah Masoli completed 25 of 44 passes for 281 yards, one TD and two picks in the Lions' 27-14 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last Saturday.
"The hope is to play. The hope was to play last week, too," said Rourke, who was limited in practice earlier this week.
"But I think at the end of the day, you've got to make a decision of what's best for the team. Me, trying to go out there and Brett Favre it sometimes isn't what's best for the team. We've got a very capable quarterback in Jeremiah and I want to make sure I'm the best option for the team if I'm going to put myself in there."
