According to On3, Sagapolutele said he decided to head to Cal after spending time in the Oregon program and seeing that he wouldn't start as a freshman. Moore, who was a five-star quarterback in the Class of 2023, transferred to Oregon after spending one season at UCLA. Sagapolutele was a four-star prospect in the 2024 class, ranked as the No. 8 quarterback and the No. 1 player from Hawaii by 247Sports.
