Raiders WR Louis Murphy Arrested For Viagra Possession
The Gainesville Sun buried the lede in its exclusive on Sunday, when it noted that former Gator (and now Raider) wide receiver Louis Murphy had been arrested for resisting arrest and possession of a drug sans prescription.
The good stuff is in the fifth graf. Let the dance begin:
Harrison said Murphy consented to a search of his vehicle, where officers found a "non-labeled prescription bottle containing 11 individual pills later identified as Viagra." Murphy could not provide a prescription for it and allegedly told the officer that he had peeled the label off of the bottle "because he did not want his girlfriend to know he had a prescription for it."
Aw, Louis Murphy. He's not gonna stanch his flow of machismo. Whatever happened to Gary Cooper, the strong, silent type, he asks? That was an American. He wasn't in touch with his feelings.
Murphy is the third Raider to be arrested this offseason, after Michael Bush was arrested for driving after sunset, and Mario Henderson was busted for unlicensed possession of Geritol tonic. (Or something like that.)
