Ray Lewis Says He Dropped To Two Knees During Anthem Because Of Jesus

Former NFL player and noted nonsense-talker Ray Lewis, who has previously been critical of Colin Kaepernick’s decision to kneel during the national anthem to protest police brutality, linked arms with several Ravens players and went down to two knees before Sunday’s game in London. The act seemed like a strange departure from Lewis’s usual hand-wringing over the act of kneeling, but as he explained on First Things First this morning, he didn’t kneel to protest or show solidarity with anyone, but to please God:
