Rays acquire LHP Richard Lovelady from Cubs

Mandatory Credit: John Jones-USA TODAY Sports The Tampa Bay Rays acquired Richard Lovelady from the Chicago Cubs on Saturday in exchange for fellow left-handed pitcher Jeff Belge.
The Rays transferred right-hander Jacob Waguespack to the 60-day injured list in order to include Lovelady on their 40-man roster.
Lovelady, 28, is 0-1 with a 7.94 ERA in seven relief appearances this season with Chicago. He is 2-7 with a 5.48 ERA in 80 career relief appearances with the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics and Cubs.
Belge, 26, has yet to make his major-league debut. He posted a 1-1 record with a 4.20 ERA in 11 relief appearances this season with Double-A Montgomery.
