Red Wings need shootout to defeat Flyers 7-6

Kane finished with two goals and an assist and Alex DeBrincat had three assists for Detroit, which snapped a four-game losing streak.
Scott Laughton had a goal and an assist for Philadelphia, which lost its second straight.
Trailing 5-1 after the first period, Philadelphia scored five straight goals to take a 6-5 lead with about five minutes left in the third period.
Detroit tied the game at 6-6 with 4:30 left on a goal by Dylan Larkin.
Red Wings goalie James Reimer stopped Sean Couturier and Bobby Brink in the shootout.
The game was the reverse of the last meeting between the teams, when the Flyers won 1-0 in Philadelphia on Dec. 16.
Trailing 5-3 after the second period, Philadelphia jumped on top with goals by Garnet Hathaway with 14:09 remaining, Laughton with 6:30 left and Owen Tippett with 5:07 remaining.
Kane scored the game's first two goals in the first period before Philadelphia cut its deficit to 2-1 with 11 minutes left in the first on a goal by Brink.
The Red Wings then scored two goals 33 seconds apart on tipped shots, the first from Daniel Sprong on a power play with 4:55 left in the first and the second by J.T. Compher to give Detroit a 4-1 lead.
Detroit then made it 5-1 with 17.8 seconds left in the first when Shayne Gostisbehere got to a puck that caromed off of the boards and fired it into the goal.
Philadelphia made it 5-2 with 16:23 remaining in the second period when Couturier tipped in a point shot from Travis Sanheim, and then the Flyers pulled to within 5-3 on another tip-in goal by Morgan Frost just 24 seconds later.
