Reebok Benches Ocho Cinco
Those of you who watched the Bengals game today and were expecting Chad OchoCinco got Chad Johnson instead. At the last minute, Chad was forced to wear a "C. Johnson" nameplate on his jersey. Apparently, while the NFL has decided not to get in his way, Reebok wants their money.
Contacted Sunday by The Associated Press, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said, "He has a financial obligation to Reebok, which produces the jerseys available to fans. That has to be resolved before the on-field jersey can be changed.
It's all about the benjamins. Clearly Reebok doesn't want to lose money on all of the Johnson jerseys in circulation and needs to buy themselves time to produce OchoCinco jerseys. You know, for the good of the fans.
