Reilly Smith agrees to 1-year extension with Golden Knights

Reilly Smith, one of the original members of the expansion Vegas Golden Knights in 2017, signed a one-year, $2 million extension with the club on Wednesday that includes a no-trade clause.
The 34-year-old winger -- who joined Vegas after splitting his first six years among Dallas, Boston and Florida -- spent six years with the Golden Knights before the team traded him to Pittsburgh in 2023. Smith rejoined Vegas at the trade deadline this past season after starting the year with the New York Rangers.
In 21 regular-season games with Vegas this year, Smith tallied 11 points before adding three goals in the playoffs. That included a goal with 0.4 seconds remaining to defeat Edmonton in Game 3 of the second round.
A member of the 2023 Stanley Cup-winning Golden Knights, Smith ranks third in franchise history with 127 goals and fifth in both assists (170) and points (297). For his career, Smith has scored 226 goals and dished out 327 assists for 553 points over 919 games.
