Remembering Hunter, Two Years Later
In a tribute post, Athletics Nation reminds us that it has been two years since Hunter S. Thompson killed himself. It seems strange now, with the littered landscape over there, that Hunter spent a considerable amount of time writing for Page 2; it's almost like a weird dream that didn't actually happen. Can you imagine that guy sharing space with Skip Bayless? His columns weren't always the most lucid productions, but like that mattered.
Anyway, we were fortunate enough to have once met with The Good Doctor — we had to bring him parachute flares — and still feel like the world is a lesser place without him around. Page 2 surely is.
