Report: Browns To Fire Mike Pettine And Ray Farmer
Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot is reporting tonight the Browns are planning to fire head coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer—as soon as tomorrow night.
Team owner and ripoff outlet owner Jimmy Haslam said in August that he’d keep Pettine and Farmer regardless of the team’s on-field performance this season, but that seems not to be the case. Cabot is reporting Haslam is already lining up replacements for the two; that’s smart, because the last Browns coaching search didn’t go so well. Cabot also notes the last four Browns head coaches were fired after season-ending losses to the rival Steelers; Cleveland hosts Pittsburgh tomorrow at one o’clock Eastern.
