It's a positive sign for the Bucs as he takes the next step in his return from a devastating ankle injury last season.
Reports last week indicated that Godwin is targeting a Week 5 return to the lineup, an Oct. 5 contest at Seattle.
Godwin, 29, was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Aug. 21.
He is recovering from a fractured ankle sustained in a Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last season. He wrapped up 2024 with 50 receptions for 576 yards and five touchdowns and signed a three-year, $66 million contract during the offseason to return to Tampa Bay.
Across 111 career games with the Bucs, Godwin has racked up 579 catches for 7,266 yards and 39 TDs, along with two rushing scores. He made the Pro Bowl in 2019 and won a ring in Super Bowl LV.
