Report: Chris "Birdman" Andersen's Home Is Target Of Kiddie-Porn Investigation [UPDATE]
Denver's 9News is reporting that Nuggets center Chris "Birdman" Andersen's home is the target of an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children division of the Douglas County Sheriff's Department.
Cops seized property from Birdman's house today, according to 9News. The case apparently originates from a California law enforcement agency. KMGH is reporting the investigation involves child pornography.
Andersen attended practice this morning and is expected to be at tonight's Lakers-Nuggets Game 6. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
Update (5:40 p.m.): The Denver Post reports Andersen has been "excused indefinitely" from the team while the investigation continues against him. It's not likely to affect the Nuggets' season—he hasn't seen the court in weeks—but it may suggest the gravity of the investigation and/or how much the Nuggets organization wants to distance itself from it.
