Report: Ex-Cardinals Executive To Plead Guilty To Hacking Charges
The Wall Street Journal that Chris Correa, former scouting director for the St. Louis Cardinals, will plead guilty to hacking the Houston Astros’ internal database. (If you want to look at exactly what kind of information the Cardinals got from the hack, you can read our reporting on it here.)
Correa was fired by the Cardinals less than a month after news of the hack broke, and although the Cardinals did not explicitly state that he was fired because of his participation in the hack, a .
There aren’t yet any details about what exactly Correa is pleading guilty to or if he’ll be doing any jail time, but we’ll update when we know more.
