Report: It's Johnny Football Time
After spending most of the season going out of his way to not name Johnny Manziel the starting quarterback, head coach Mike Pettine has finally relented, according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer.
It’s silly that it took this long for Manziel to get the permanent nod over Josh McCown, but better late than never. Manziel has played pretty well in limited action this year, and this is the right move for an out-of-contention team that’s still looking for a franchise quarterback. Maybe Manziel will never be that quarterback, but at least the Browns are finally giving him a real chance to prove himself.
