Report: Johnny Manziel Harassed By Fan At Golf Tournament
Johnny Manziel was harassed by a fan at the Byron Nelson Classic golf tournament on Saturday, leading to a conversation with police outside a Four Seasons hotel, according to a report from Northeast Ohio Media Group’s Mary Kay Cabot.
Cabot spoke to Manziel’s agent Erik Burkhardt, who says Manziel handled the situation “appropriately.” A police spokesman told Cabot after an 18-year-old fan started harassing Manziel near the Four Seasons pool, Manziel threw a waterbottle at him, escalating the situation. Manziel’s friend inserted himself into the conflict before hotel security and police intervened.
The incident explains the weird photos of Manziel sitting down and talking to police floating around Twitter. Neither side decided to press charges.
