Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is moving from Mercedes to Ferrari for the 2025 Formula One season, multiple outlets reported Thursday.
Hamilton, whose 103 wins are the most in F1 history, has been with Mercedes since leaving McLaren in 2013.
An official announcement is expected Thursday about the switch for the 39-year-old British driver, who matched Michael Schumacher's circuit record with F1 championships in 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen has won the past three titles.
Hamilton would race alongside Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who signed a long-term contract last week.
It would leave Ferrari's Carlos Sainz looking for a new team and Mercedes driver George Russell looking for a new teammate.
Ferrari has not won an F1 driver's title since Kimi Raikkonen in 2007.
