Report: Oregon State fires Trent Bray after 0-7 start

Oregon State fired head coach Trent Bray after an 0-7 start to the season, ESPN reported on Sunday.
The report comes one day after the Beavers dropped a 39-14 decision to Wake Forest. It was Bray's 13th loss in his last 14 games dating back to last season.
When asked about his job security on Saturday, Bray was direct.
"I really don't think about that," he said. "Those are out of my control, decisions that people make. I'm just going to show up until they tell me I can't."
Last Sunday, Oregon State dismissed special teams coach Jamie Christian on the heels of a 27-23 setback to Appalachian State.
The Beavers are in the midst of their worst start to a season since 1991, when they lost their first 10 games.
Bray, 43, is 5-14 in his second season with Oregon State. He was elevated from defensive coordinator after two-plus seasons on Nov. 29, 2023, after Jonathan Smith was hired at Michigan State.
