Avila left Sunday night's overtime loss at Detroit with a knee injury in the second quarter and did not return.
Avila, 24, will have an MRI and further testing Monday to determine the severity of the injury, per the report.
He has started all 18 games since Los Angeles drafted him in the second round in 2023.
The Rams shifted Jonah Jackson to left guard and inserted rookie Beaux Limmer at center after Avila departed during the 26-20 loss to the Lions.
