Report: Rashaan Salaam Died By Suicide
Police have yet to give an official cause of death for Rashaan Salaam, the former Heisman winner who was found dead in a park in Boulder, Colo. yesterday, but Salaam’s mother has told that police suspect that suicide was the cause of death.
From USA Today:
His mother, Khalada, told USA TODAY Sports Tuesday that police said they suspect it’s a suicide after finding a note.
“They said they found a note and would share that with us when we get there,” Salaam’s mother said.
USA Today’s report is backed up by local paper The Daily Camera, which cites a source with knowledge of the investigation who believes the cause of death was suicide. Salaam was 42 years old.
If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts, you can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255.
