Report: The MLBPA Is Seriously Pissed Off At Colin Cowherd [UPDATES]
Sourdough fuckboy Colin Cowherd said some dumb, racist shit about Dominicans on his show yesterday, and now, according to a , the MLB players’ union is feeling pretty heated about the whole thing.
USA Today’s Jorge Ortiz spoke to a person “close to” the MLBPA, who made it clear that the union is angry with Cowherd as well as ESPN and Fox—his current and future employers, respectively—for not yet having issued any kind of apology. (We’re told by an ESPN source that Cowherd plans to address this subject at the top of his show today.) Ortiz’s source even hinted at players taking direct action against both networks:
The person, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the topic, also said the lack of response from ESPN - and Cowherd’s future employer, Fox, has upset its members just as much as the comments, and they will consider withholding cooperation with the networks. ESPN and Fox are national rightsholders to major league games, and Fox carries its jewel events, the All-Star Game and World Series.
