Report: Wild D Jonas Brodin (lower body) to have MRI

Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to ascertain the extent of a lower-body injury he sustained in Tuesday night's win, The Athletic reported.
Brodin did not suffer an ACL injury, per the report. Brodin was slammed into the boards by Alex Killorn in the third period of the Wild's 4-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Brodin's leg appeared to twist and get caught on the ice.
Brodin, who has 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) in 51 games, missed 17 games earlier this season with an upper-body injury.
Brodin, 30, is in Year 3 of a seven-year, $42 million deal he signed with the Wild in September 2020.
Brodin has 236 points (54 goals, 182 assists) in 792 career games with the Wild, who selected him No. 10 overall in the 2011 draft.
The Wild (34-27-8, 76 points) enter Wednesday's action three points behind the Vegas Golden Knights (36-25-7, 79) for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
