Reporter Runs With Marathoners, Does Not Get Her Question Off
From the Stockholm Marathon, a local reporter tried to Get The Feeling of the race. She tried to Tell The Tough Story. She did not make it very far.
Benjamin Bitok, in the blue, would surge past Nixon Machichin, in the orange, shortly after this reporter nearly impeded the runners 21 miles into the race. It's unclear what her intent was; she brought her microphone, possibly to prove that she was a Hard Hitting Journalist, but used it more like a prop. She never even tried to gasp out a question, such as "How are your nipples doing?" and other pertinent queries that surely would have warranted international acclaim.
Bitok would take the win in 2 hours, 13 minutes; Machichin would finish about a minute later. But no report has come from the Intrepid Local Reporter. The world eagerly holds its breath.
